Kitchen and Bath Show 2018 - Day Two

Friends.. if you click to purchase the products I've mentioned in this post, I will make a small commission which helps me to pay for the costs of keeping my blog running - at no additional cost to you. Thank you!"

In case you missed my last couple of posts, I've been giving a rundown of my recent visit to KBIS with the Modenus bloggers' tour. I'm still amazed by all the incredible kitchen and bath design products on display there! If you haven't seen those other posts, you'll want to catch up here and here because I'm giving you a VIP  'sneak peek' at what's coming on the market this year for your home.

You'd think that after our 'hard hat tour' and marathon first day visiting showroom after showroom, the rest of our visit would be anticlimactic, wouldn't you? Well, Day Two proved to be even more exciting, informative and exhausting than Day One!

Our first stop on the tour was the Lixil Brand booth.  Under this corporation's umbrella you will find many brands in the bath/plumbing fixture realm, but our entire Day Two was all about their three flagship brands -  American Standard, DXV and Grohe.

On Day One, I was positively amazed by the use of new and innovative technology in kitchen appliances at KBIS, but it turns out Lixil's bathroom products boast the latest technology too!

American Standard has a 140-year history of making tried-and-true plumbing products. There are currently so many amazing products in their line.  It may sound strange, but the first items to hit my radar were their large array of toilet selections.  Yes, you heard me right! I mean, interior designers do have to select toilets for their clients! Luckily, AS has just about any type of toilet you can imagine, which means it's easy to find one that fits in with any style or size bathroom.

But they also have lots of 'bells and whistles' to choose from. One of my favorite options has got to be the self-cleaning toilets. I mean, come on! Who would not love a self-cleaning toilet in their home?!  One of AS's tag lines is "Drop the brush and step away from the toilet." I love that! In the self-cleaning range, AS offers the ActiClean and the Vormax Plus.  Each one has slightly different features, but either way, if you are in the market for a self-cleaner, American Standard has got you covered.

The ActiClean toilet features a cleaning system that cleans and removes stains with powerful American Standard cleaning solution cartridges. If used as directed, each cartridge will last up to 9 weeks. Check out the video below.

VorMax® Plus combines LYSOL® and the  VorMax flush hydraulics, offering a cleaning toilet with just a flush - no extra steps.

Another one of my favorite finds was the SpaLet Bidet Toilet Seats.  I just love the idea of an -ahem! - one-stop shop toilet and bidet combo. These actually fit over your existing toilet. All you need is an electrical outlet near the toilet.

The SpaLet® Bidet Seat technology is available in three models: 1.0, 2.0 and the Aqua Wash Manual.

Of course, American Standard is so much more than just toilets.  They also make sinks, faucets, showers, and bathtubs, as do some of the other Lixil brands.

Speaking of baths, I am one of those people who takes a bath every night (by the way, Oprah does the same thing!). I find it to be an incredibly relaxing nighttime ritual. As a committed 'bather,' I loved seeing all of the extra deep, extra long tubs at the show.  DXV's Drop-In Airbath caught my eye immediately (DXV is actually the high-end arm of American Standard). Oh, the pillow rest and the elongated spout accentuated by mood lighting!  I can only imagine how good this tub must feel after a long, hard day at work.  It uses air technology - not the old jets that would always collect dirt and bacteria, yuck!

DXV also has the most beautiful bathroom vanities, bathroom sink faucets, toilets, sinks, soaking tubs and kitchen faucet products. They truly offer the very best in luxury bathroom and kitchen products and accessories.

Check out these gorgeous bathrooms, all designed using DXV's luxury products.  So many styles to choose from!

And last, but certainly not least, we checked out the Grohe product line.  Grohe is all about kitchen and bath faucets and shower collections.  If you can dream it, they probably already have it. I drink bottled water all day long and I especially LOVE sparkling water.  Well, the Grohe Blue faucet gives you both of those right from your kitchen sink! How cool is that?! It's a space saver, a time saver and a money saver - not to mention an environment saver because it eliminates all those plastic bottles. Oh, and did I mention the water comes out of the faucet CHILLED?! Wow!

For those of you who want a little shot of color in your kitchen but don't want to commit to it with your cabinetry or a bright range hood, these Essence Professional Faucets can add a punch of color without being overwhelming. They're a fun break from traditional metallic options!

And finally, let's talk shower heads! My gosh, Grohe has so many shower heads to choose from - and each one is better than the last. Take a look at just a sampling below.  There is something for everyone.  Click here for more information on all of the shower heads options from Grohe.

Are you tuckered out yet?  I certainly was and I still had one more stop, but that will have to be my next blog post.

If you could pick just one thing from the bathroom fixtures in this post, which one would it be? I'm definitely dreaming about that tub!
